Beware of Heatstroke

Hello guys! How are you guys holding up with your country’s summer? ( If you live in the southern hemisphere, then I’m sure you’re fine!)

Here in Japan, as it was said in our last blog, SUMMER IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!! We understand it’s exciting such as going to the beaches, pools, and to the summer festivals playing fireworks but there is one thing we need you to keep in mind for your safety and that is Heatstroke.

Heatstroke, also known as sunstroke, is a type of severe heat illness that results in a body temperature greater than 40.0 °C (104.0 °F) and confusion. Other symptoms can include red skin, headache, and dizziness. Heatstroke requires emergency treatment and if they are not treated quickly enough, they can quickly damage your brain, heart, kidneys, and muscles. The longer the treatment is delayed the higher risk that you may face serious complications or death.

So what do we need to do to prevent ourselves from being diagnosed with a heat stroke? If you are interested, here are some useful strategies you can use!
