Golden Week (GW) is the national vacation period in Japan, usually from the end of April to the beginning of May.

Usually, GW begins with the Emperor’s Birthday on 29th April, followed by Constitution Day on 3th May, Greenery Day on 4th May, and Children’s Day on 5th May. If these holidays fall on weekends, the vacation period will be even longer.
GW in Japan is seen by many as an opportunity to take advantage of the vacations to travel and enjoy time with family.
Also, a variety of festivities and events are held during this time of the year, allowing you to fully enjoy the season by viewing cherry blossoms and engaging in outdoor activities!🌸🍡
